Keeping Up Your Spirits

In these trying times its easy to start thinking a bunch of "what ifs" and negative thoughts. One way to stay "up" and positive is to remember to pray for others. Call people you're concerned about every once in a while and call on GOD a lot. Jesus wants to hear from us.

When I pray for others it always helps my attitude and overall mood. When I pray for others it helps to look at a picture of them or at least visualize them mentally if you don't have a photo available.

With churches not meeting now in order to cut down on health risks it's ans especially important time to see our church family in other ways. If you have a church directory with photos of the members dig it out and look through it while praying for each person. If your photo directory is on your churches website then pull it up and do the same.

It's important to stay connected to each other - we don't want the evil one to be able to use this situation to get between GOD and His people.

Paul has some good advice for all of us in what he wrote to the church members of old at Ephesus... these words are still true and alive today....

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength.
Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil.
For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.
This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.
Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest,
and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace.
In every situation take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word.
Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:10-18 CSB)

GOD is our strength - hang in there and pray for each other.

We were never promised an easy journey - only that Jesus will always be us through the journey.

Be blessed,

Paul.
